Group Calendar: Overview
The TimeFlex Group Calendar integrates seamlessly into the groupware systems Microsoft Exchange / Outlook / OWA and IBM Notes. TimeFlex offers users far more features and functions than come standard in the two systems. Each company has different requirements for a Group Calendar. Every department in every organization can display and edit the calendar data as they see fit. There is total flexibility.
Group Calendar: Calendar Data / Appointments
Users continue to work with their personal data from their mailboxes / mail files from the underlying groupware system (Microsoft Exchange or IBM Notes). The data to be displayed is read on demand from the original mailboxes / mail and shown in the TimeFleX Group Calendar. Thus TimeFleX works without redundancy. All changes to calendar entries in the TimeFleX Group Calendar will also immediately be performed on the original entries. On request, TimeFleX sends an email to employees when a calendar entry was created, modified or deleted to inform them about the changes. The TimeFlex Group Calendar provides a calendar input dialog for appointments also for recurring appointment entries, appointment reminder, appointment attachments etc. Thus, one has no restrictions when entering dates in TimeFlex with respect to the underlying original groupware system. This allows the users to create, edit and delete appointments without switching to another environment (Outlook, OWA, IBM Notes, iNotes)
Group Calendar: Different views
Time Flex provides the user with its various views the possibility to represent appointments of persons / rooms / resources in different ways in the Group Calendar. On one hand, the Group Calendar provides the option between different forms of representation, on the other hand, in the representation of a time axis, they are changed by a zoom factor.
